The Corporate Responsibility: Social Media Policy is a policy that employers can use in their employee handbook, or as a standalone policy, which outlines the guidelines that the company expects all employees to follow when posting and/or communicating on Social Media. This policy also includes verbiage on adverse action that can be taken should an employee not follow the guidelines outlined in the policy, as well as protections for employees as outlined in the National Labor Relations Act. The goal of the Corporate Responsibility: Social Media Policy is to mitigate risk for the company when its employees use social media for personal and professional purposes.
